Hi.
I am about to learn some Java GUI programming. But I am not sure which one should I pick. Java FX or Java Swing? I read that Java swing is deprecated in Java SE 8. What should I do? Should I ignore swing totally and focus on Java FX?

Swing isn't deprecated, but if you're new to Java GUIs then it would make sense to focus on FX. Whether you can afford to totally ignore Swing depends on whether you plan to ever seek employment as a GUI programmer -- in which case you would be likely to encounter tons of legacy Swing code.

Thanks for your reply. I believe that you are suggesting me to learn swing first, then advance to FX. Right? I am also interested to make android apps. Is there any usage of swing or FX in android app development?

Android has nothing at all to do with either Swing or JavaFX.

Learning Swing is NOT a prerequisite to learning FX.

JavaFX can be used in Android development.

Doing so is quite unusual, most Android developers do not use JavaFX, but instead use the Android SDK and runtime provided by Google http://developer.android.com/index.html
