Are OCA 7-related questions on the OCP 7 exam?

I'm studying for the OCA exam and plan on taking it in three months (I'm a slow learner). Assuming I pass, six months after that I hope to take the OCP 7 exam.
How much of the OCA exam is on the OCP exam? I'm concerned that if some of OCA is on the OCP exam, in one form or another, by the time I take the OCP exam in nine months I will have forgotten much of the OCA material and will have to study up on that again. I'm tempted to wait and take OCA right before OCP so I don't have to reinvent the wheel; take OCP while OCA is fresh.
Is that a reasonable strategy? Would it help, or not make any difference?

Any suggestions?

m.

OCAJP forms the base for OCPJP. If you forget OCAJP stuff, there is no way you can pass OCPJP.

But to put you at ease, I can tell you that if you pass OCAJP by studying well, there is little chance that you will forget anything because most of the concepts involved in OCAJP are conceptual

Thank you, Paul. If OCA concepts are mostly conceptual, how would you characterize OCP?

1. Not all the concepts are covered in OCA.
2. More concepts, more API, more tricks
You should compare the exam objectives of both the exam to get an idea: OCAJP8
and OCPJP8
