I have done my technical certicifation a decade or so ago with sun java certified java 2 programmer and as time caught up i had to eventully move into management role after some years , still the fun of doing another certification started kicking in oflate thats when i started seriously thinking about writing a certification ,What would you be your advise?
The choice depends on your career path. If you wish to restart working as a programmer, you might want to upgrade your programmer's certification to a newer version. It should help you to rework on your programming skills. Or you might start working with sample projects.
I am little confuesed if the old school thinking on writing certification exam is any differnt from the current scenario where we have different channels and mediums available for one to get prepared
What does your book provide interms of context and content.
For me personally writing certifications give me lot of energy, Recently got certified as PMP,It will keep you grounded ,Only question is should i go for 7 or Java 8 certification that comes out with all this functional programming additions?
Thank you all for your valid inputs Mala.
