Hi,

I'm planning to take my OCPJP Certificiation(1z0-804).
I've passed the OCAJP(1z0-803) by learning from the book listed at [1] and by
exercising from the book listed at [2].
Since it didn't seem very easy to me to pass the OCAJP even then I had
a good foundation of OOP programming by studying Java programming language
for 1 semester at college, I'm asking you guys for some advices for the OCJP,
given that its topics are way more detailed than those from OCAJP.

So, do you know a good exam simulator(or any book with mock exams) that has correct answers and similar
questions to those given at the exam? I read about [4] and [5]. I'm more inclined to
try [5] because the book listed at [2](that helped a lot for my first certification) is from Enthuware two:-).

Regarding the books used for studying, I don't know if I should continue
reading from [1] or if I should better start learning from [6] since there
is published in 2015 and it seems more explicit. What do you think?
Also, did someone try the practice book from [7]?

I would be very grateful if someone who passed through this exam could guide me in any way.

Thank you!

You can start with K&B 7. And then use additional source Oracle online study materials (free) , Mala Gupta Book, Angelica Langer Generics FAQ (free), Java Language Specification (free), Java api.
I preparing now and I think that exam is harder and has much more information to study than OCA. I recommend use more than one resources to study - this help to see same thing from different side, and get more information in backpack.
About mock test I plan use examlab.org test and enthuware .

Thank you, Sergej Smoljanov for your reply. I will have a look at examlab.org.
Also, good luck with your preparation!

P.S: I read about 20 pages from Mala Gupta's book([6]). The topic that I read was something that I had also read in K&B, so that i can compare them.
I can say that Mala Gupta is more concise and every problem treated by her is very emphasised by code snippets, graphics and clear explanations.
I think I'll go for this book
