Hi,

I have a script that reads excel and saves them in Java into 2 dimensional Arrays.

Now I need to perform complex searching of values spanning multiple columns,It is easy to do this through SQL>
Is it possible to run SQL on Arrays treating them as tables?

Thanks,
Ramya

Hello,

Welcome to the ranch.

No, I wouldn't think it is possible although there might be some library that does that but I can't recall any off the top of my head.

You could put the data in tables to be able to easily search.

table document has a onetomany relationship with table rows.

table rows has a onetomany relationship with table columns.

table document:
title (or other type of id)

table rows:
parent document id.

table colums:
parent row id
text content of the cell.

I hope this helps.
