Hi,

I see below is the required format of training for Architect exam:-

"Courses can be instructor-led in-class (ILT), a live virtual class (LVC), training on demand (TOD), or Unlimited Learning Subscription. Self-study CD and online courses are great preparation tools, but do not fulfill the training requirement."

I am confused between "TOD" and "Self-Study CD and Online courses". I am actually planning to take LVC or TOD and make sure it fulfills the training requirement.

Could someone please confirm?

Thanks, Raghu

I haven't taken any TOD or LVC courses but I think TOD and LVC courses work the same. You may get a feel of what LVC is like here. If you decide to take a TOD course please share your experience in the forum.

As for self study CD are not eligible for training fulfillment.

I have subscribed to Training On Demand for the course Architect Enterprise Applications with Java . It meets the criteria for the architect certification. I had talked to the Oracle guys and the sales rep about the same. And I think it has been mentioned on the Oracle site as well.

With virtual class, I think you will have to make yourself available for those 5 days, and the training would be imparted via the online medium. It will be real-time where the instruction will actually be delivering the course content whereas in Training On Demandyou will get video recordings of the training sessions and you can view in innumerably times for 3 months. It depends on the time that you can allot and then choose the medium of the training.
