I started to learn android app making in android studio i wanted to know whether java awt and swing elements used in android or is there anything seperate to design gui and are all java packages used same in android or i need to learn new android elements.

Android has it own framework and widgets for UIs - AWT and Swing are not used. Take a look at the Android UI Overview on the Android Developers' site.

Did you check the link Ron provided? If you click on the 'Reference' tab you should see the 'API docs'
