I assume by 'avatar' you mean an image that appears in your username section just to the left of your message posts?

If so then you're out of luck. Our forum software configuration does not have that feature enabled.

However, you are able to link an image hosted elsewhere to be displayed on your profile page.

Probably not. We deliberately omitted that feature because we didn't like it.
