Hi.
Currently I am learning Java language. I know that there are cross platform game engines available like Unity 3D and others. But only jMonkey 3D uses Java. Jmonkey is not as good as Unity, cryengine or unrealengine. Moreover Unity uses C#. So If I want to develop cross platform games in unity, I will have to know C#. But I don't want to start learning C# from scratch while I have reached intermediate level knowledge of Java.

Does android have any game engine like Apple has sprite kit? If not, then I am utterly surprised!!!

Thanks for the info. But I still don't understand why Google does not have its own 3D game engine for android? The question should be conveyed to google.

Android is still a baby, and Google is still enriching it so, as there is no official engine is there (as far I know) we have to work with third party engines.
Oh, and you can try libGDX and dwarf-fw
