I don't always sign into the site when I come here - sometimes I just want to do a quick browse and don't intend to post anything. However, sometimes, I see a post that is interesting, and want to reply. I am not logged in, so I log in - I expect to come back to the page I was at, but I am now at the main forum page. I don't like this, it is pretty much standard behaviour across most forums that I go to that when you are at a page and you log in, you go back to the page you were at, and not the main page.

Do others agree, or am I just being too fastidious?

Thanks.

A

I agree. That's a good catch. I've never noticed it because I automatically login every time.

I've noticed that earlier, I was just more patient But I agree with OP.

I wasn't aware that we weren't! (Most of the moderators stay signed in all the time). I've added this to our internal defect tracking system.

Well I am glad people didn't think I was nit-picking.
I am even more glad I got a cow - thanks! I love a good controversial debate (sometimes!), and so decided to post in the Rattlesnake section, only to find out that I needed 5 cows to do so! 1 down, 4 more to go!
