I am trying to view a live webcam, harddrive crashed so new one installed and I just re-installed javascript. The java loads (very slowly), the stream doesn't load due to error 'ama MediaApplet' , class not found exception.

Is this applet part of Javascript? Some other plugin or application?

Is it downloadable?

I have to find resolution to this and all my web searches have totally failed.

Thanks greatly for any help!

Javascript and Java are actually completely unrelated. Can you be more clear on what exactly you downloaded and installed, what you mean by "the java loads very slowly" (what makes you think Java is downloading?), and where exactly do you see this error?

Hi, I know they are but often interchange the words. Do you know anything about that applet error?

Thanks...

I am at this website: http://dingdarlingsociety.org/refuge-cam

It starts loading with JAVA and the running circle around it to load.

It stops and says could not load the stream.

I click to see the error and it says, AMA MediaApplet Class not found exception.

This is using Firefox.

This is location where I downloaded Java from...all went fine when I installed it.

If anyone has links to other live sites that I could see if Java works, and see if there is still an AMA error, that might help to see if it is just the page I am currently trying to view.

Thanks much....

I left out the Java URL that I was going to paste in...this is where I downloaded it from:

I fixed the topic title as Java applets have nothing at all to do with JavaScript. Be sure not to use the names interchangeably as they are not the same.

Thanks so much....I really don't have knowledge of Java/Javascript/applets, etc....just load and use when programs request.
