I took Java OCP 804 Exam yesterday and passed it with my score of 83%. Now I'm thinking of its Level 3 Certification.

According to Java website, I find Java EE level has five different exams. So my question is: do I need to take all the five exams, or I just need to pass any one of these five exams? Thanks.

Congrats on your OCPJP8.

I believe the 5 exams you are referring to are those OCE exams for Java EE 6.

Each exam or cert is independent.

Dear Mr. Tsang,

Can you tell me which exam (among these five enterprise expert exams) is the most valuable in IT society and which one is the easiest to pass? Thanks.

Oh, by the way, I took OCP 804 exam, instead of OCP 809 exam. So I earned my title of OCPJP 7, other than OCPJP 8.

I see ok congrats on OCPJP7

For the Java EE certs, in terms of difficulty level, the order should look:
Web component
JSF
EJB and JPA
Web services

Depending on your needs and interest, doing any of them will be valuable.

Dear Mr. Tsang,

Thank you for your reply. I want to double check here. So you mean Web component exam is the easiest among the five, right?

Best,

S.

Dear Mr. Tsang,

May I ask you what you chose as the textbook when you prepared for your WCD 899 exam? Did you use HFSJ (2ed) or OCEJWCD Study Companion: Certified Expert Java EE 6 Web Component Developer (3ed)? The former is classic, while the latter is more recent. Thanks.

I am reading both books.
Head First is for version 5, but it is still good for version 6.

I also read Murach's Java Servlets and JSP for basic knowledge.
You can find this book at https://www.murach.com/shop/murach-s-java-servlets-and-jsp-3rd-edition-detail
