why is not considered the sw-600dp layout?

In the past I could see my app both with the Nexus 5 than nexus 7 Emulators in Android Studio, now as it was sometime i did not text the code on the tablet, I noticed that when the debugger goes to the line if below in this snippet, it skips the first condition and goes to else! This is the onCreate of Main Activity

where setContentView(R.Layout.activity_main) has two different layouts a normal activity_main.xml(for the phone)

and another one for the tablet that has the same activity_main.xml name but is inside the folder layout-sw600
