Doesn't detect my text in AutoCompleteTextView ?

I've coded for suggesting a list of programming languages when typing some characters on editText and then we want to select anyone of the reserved values but for me when i type "p" it only prints the character on editText and not displaying the languages which i've stored in "lang" string variable. What's the problem arise here ?

        ArrayAdapter<String> ar = new ArrayAdapter<String>(this,android.R.layout.select_dialog_item,lang);

        AutoCompleteTextView actv = (AutoCompleteTextView) findViewById(R.id.autoCompleteTextView);



        actv.setAdapter(ar);
        actv.setThreshold(1);
        actv.setTextColor(Color.BLUE);
