I was always asking the difference between XA and non XA for senior Java jobs. I ran a software factory with Java Projects and did a lot of interviews.
For our projects, where we dealt with 2 different databases (Oracle and Sql Server) in one transaction, it was extremely important the candidates know how to work with both databases in a single transaction.
