Only Java 8 is publicly supported.

Not sure how far back support licenses from Oracle go.
It might only be for 7.

No, Oracle does not support Java 6 anymore; it even does not support Java 7 anymore; you do not get any bugfixes and security updates anymore for free.

See Oracle Java SE Support Roadmap

You might still be able to get support from Oracle, but you'd have to pay them for a support contract.

It's better to upgrade to Java 8, which is the currently supported version.

Welcome to the Ranch

It is possible to download Java6 from the archives website, but you ought not to use it for production code.
