I would like to use a servlet to convert JSP into HTML so that I can use JSP as an email template. I would send the email similar to the following:
Is there a good way to do this? I can't seem to find an approach for this aside from sending a GET request to Tomcat.

JSP isn't really set up for this and it's rather a stretch to make it do it. I think you'd be better foo exploring something more suitable to the task such as FreeMarker.

If you want to pursue the JSP angle (not recommend) look into response wrappers.
