Hi all,
I am trying to cluster the Weblogic Server here and would like to know about weblogic clustering licence and actual clustering process. The situation here is... we have a licensed Weblogic server running here on Sun Solaris box and I tried to configure it for the clustering but it throws 'Unable to start Cluster Service ! No such license: WebLogic Server 6.1, Cluster' exception.
I am looking forward to get some help about...
1. I would like to know how to acquire a clustering licence ? if I have to apply separately for the clustering licence or that licence is already with me but not properly installed since I already have a licenced server running here.
2. Could you please send me the listing of steps necessary to configure the server for clustering so that I would know if I have correctly configured the server.
Suppose I have a Admin box 'AdminBOX' running on Sun Solaris and two seperate host m/cs as host1 and host2. Now I would like to know what would be the steps involved in order to cluster...
Thanks.

You will need to contact BEA about upgrading your license to a clustered edition. You should also know that clustered license cost approximately double that of the non-clustered version. In other words... you will need to get a PO.

The best information on WebLogic Clustering can be found on BEA's documentation site. Use this link: Using WebLogic Server Clusters.

One more thing.
Raaj, thanks for joining JavaRanch, but could you take a quick look at the naming policy and edit your profile accordingly.
