Hello friends,
Our project is curently on WinNT. We have many products and Weblogic5.1 is one of them. Due to certain reasons the IP of the server is to be changed.
What are the various changes that needs to be done so that Weblogic will run properly. I am not sure what are the issues and how are they to be approached? e.g: Will the license work? If not what is to be done...and so on.
I would appreciate if someone can guide me as to which are the files to be modified..etc and what should be the modifiation
Thanks in advance,
Milan Doshi

In the WebLogicLicense.xml file, check the value for IP.
If the IP="any", then your existing license will work in the new machine as well.
If the license is for a particular IP (or a range of IPs), then you have to get a new license.

Thanks for the reply.
I am sure Weblogic would be having some way wherein I can request for a change of IP for the license. I mean I cannot BUY a license just because an IP has changed.
Please let me know where do I send the request for the change in license
Thanks and regards,

Go to the Support Page of BEA's Website. If you have a Web Support Account then you will be able to log in and electronically request an IP Address Transfer.
If you don't have a Web Support Account and don't know how to get one then you should contact your BEA Sales Rep.
