Java Developer - Remote - Anywhere In The US
The Junior Java Developer is responsible for developing and supporting Web-based Java applications, Web services and Web interfaces. This person will be responsible for server side component design, detailed technical design, development,
testing, implementation, and maintenance.
The work environment is dynamic and challenging. The successful candidate must be a team player who has the ability to work on multiple projects and can organize and prioritize their work to achieve desired results in a timely manner.
This position can be remote and based anywhere in the US.
Main responsibilities:
Develop and enhance product offerings in accordance with design and consistent with business objectives.
Ensure that development tasks are completed within timeline provided and that issues are fully tested with minimal defects.
Under guidance of technical lead, ensure that solutions being developed are effective, and take into consideration performance implications for a production environment.
Perform detailed data analysis, review, and reconciliation.
Assist with resolution of production support issues as they arise.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (preferably Computer Science or Information Systems) or software development/programming certifications:
1-2 years of Java software development experience
Web Application or Web Services development using Java and JS
Familiarity with Apache
Tomcat
Familiarity with MySQL or MS SQL relational database
Assembly, deployment, troubleshooting, and monitoring of
J2EE applications
Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML, AJAX, XML
