First, welcome to the ranch.

Anyway, the Wiki forum is for wikis topics only. Let me move this topic to the Java in General forum for you.

Nobody is going to do your homework for you, but if you show us what you have done so far, or even what ideas you have had so far, then you'll be more likely to get some help.

When posting code it's best to UseCodeTags (<- link) to make it easier to read. I've added them for you this time, see how much better it looks?

Firstly, the two classes Node and LinkedList are all about you implementing your own linked list. Java has a number of built in list types so there's no need to do this at all.

You say "i have to display the scientific names only in order". Can you explain in words, not code, how you would do this manually?

firstly i have to search for all scientific names
ive try to made a search using their id also then to display their scientific name, common name, other name

then display their names in order(those of scientific)
that is the 2nd part of the sample code

i want to know how to extract these data from that file using array mayB
then the sorting i can use a merge sort to implement well ive not yet reached there
am still trying to read nand extact those specific data and dispaly then in console

Generally, you check if it does what you want. And if it doesn't, that would be a place to start / fix. Regardless, we can't help as you didn't give us any information on what is wrong (or what it is supposed to do).
