Good day! Sorry for my bad english.
I'm new to Java EE. I decided to learn server-side programming and I'm thinking about test prioject - this is my idea :
1) There is an (application ?) server that gets data from mobile devices (maybe position and coordinats).
This server get a session, gets data and stores it into DB (SQL or NoSQL).

2) Threre is a web server that gives to browser information about dayly way of some devices.

I' little a lost in add Java EE stack - too many information - can someon point me to right direction? What tecnologies to use for this system?

I want to begit with p.1 and than add DB where to start?

Than you very much.

Welcome to the Ranch

This is one of the best places for learning how to connect Java® code to a database.
