SSL issue - Weigh scale integration

Hi, I tried to read data from a weigh scale by accessing COM1 port. When read, i'm getting the below error,

SSLv2Hello is just a test protocol, not meant for real use. If no real SSL/TLS protocols are available, try not using HTTPS at all. For accessing a local device over a serial port that should be OK.

The stack trace indicates that the problem happens while trying to load a class from a jar which is being accessed via HTTPS. There's no user code in the stack trace at all. But yeah, fixing the applet to not use SSLv2Hello would be a good start.
