i have two input fields in my xhtml page, when i enter a value into the first one its ok but when i enter a value into the second field the first one gets deleted or erased instantly . This happens all the time. When i press my command button i of course want both values not only one.

I have no idea what these tags do.

Conventionally, the "t" namespace is used with the Apache Tomhawk extended tags, but there's no "t:button" tag in that set.

I'm suspecting that the t:button is supposed to serve the same purpose as an h:commandButton control with AJAX support and that the "update" attribute is supposed to serve in the same capacity as an f:ajax "render" attribute. If that's true, you're overdoing it. If you indicate re-rendering on a container (mapp), then re-rendering of its children is automatically implied.
