Hello All,

I am using jdk 1.8. Inside the JDK folder there is src.zip file which contains the source Code for their apis which is not part of com.sun package.

I am using one of the class DOMInputImpl from this source.zip. My intelliJ does not complain about this class. But when I run my application, it errors with the classNotFound exception.

If I want to use classes from src.zip where is the jar located for these classes that I can include in my classpath?

thanks
Trupti

There's a copy of this class in jre/lib/rt.jar, which is the runtime. The class itself is part of the Xerces XML DOM manipulation library.

I'm not sure why you IDE isn't picking it up, except that since a lot of apps use their own copy of Xerces, I wouldn't have expected to find it in the default JVM classpath.
