Greetings Everyone!

I'm writing this full of delight. Today I cleared out my very first Oracle exam. I was able to make it within a short period of time. It was really touch for me while doing my college work + office work + preparing for OCA. I must mention about many of you who answered and cleared out my question on ranch. Specially Roel, Jasper & many others. I really appreciate putting your time and effort to help newbies like us. (I don't have words to say how much it helped me)

Talking about my preparation to the exam, I've been with Java for almost 2.5 years. But rarely developments I had to do. Most of the time it was fixing issues of someone else's code.(refactoring & bug fixing). I started to read Java OCA 8 Programmer I Study Guide written by Jeanne Boyarsky and Scott Selikoff around mid of October 2015. I was able to finish all the chapters including mock exams mid of December 2015. At that moment Oracle had a promotion of 20% discount on all exams. Therefore I tried my take the advantage of it and do the exam on 28th December 2015.

As a final preparation I tried the sample mock exam of Enthuware product. Sadly I could score only 41%. (Failed) So, I decided to buy the Enthuware full product and took all the standard exams. (I didn't had time to do other Objective-wise Test; Because of heavy work load what I get in my college projects and other stuff)

Below are the Standard exam scores I had.
Test 1 - 76%
Test 2 - 68%
Test 3 - 70%
Test 4 - 68%
Test 5 - 75%
Test 6 - 61% Failed
Last Day Test - 83%

Look, I failed the one before the last. But still I had the confidence to take the exam on the next day. Because while I was coming down from the Test 1, I get to know the enthuware questions are hard + trickier than the real exam + quality. So, I didn't afraid. I have already Ordered Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 8 Programmer II Study Guide in Amazon as the preparation for OCP. Sad news is I think that I will be able to take OCP around end of this year or next year.

Message: Don't be afraid, Enthuware is far ahead from OCA. Good News is that I got almost exact same questions in enthuware mock exams. I think there were about 10 - 15 questions. Some of them, I didn't even bothered about the rest of the answers.

Regards,
Jude

That's a very worrying statistic! Certainly for Enthuware, because Oracle might consider this as a violation of their Fraudulent Activity Policy. And you could argue that about some topics, there is very little variation possible in questions and therefore mock questions will look very similar to actual exam questions. But 15 questions out of a possible 77 is almost 20%. And that's really a lot!

yes. I mean, not 100% exactly the same(including letters + punctuation & code fragments). But the idea what the question is trying to check from the candidate was the same.

It's really very easy! Nowadays it's a wiki topic, so it's very similar to editing one of your own posts. Just go to the OcajpWallOfFame, click the Edit button, add your details, save your changes and you are done. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Wow. My name is on Wall-Of-Fame. Waited to for this day for so long. I haven't still got my soft-copy nor hard-copy from oracle. Can you explain how the rest is going to work. Also, I really need to have an digital batch that I could share in social media such as LinkedIn.

In Your Certification History you'll find everything you'll need (once it is updated of course). You'll find a link to download/print an eCertificate, you can download the certification logos and you can claim/share a badge (you'll need a youracclaim.com account). To see an example of the latter, check the Certifications section of my LinkedIn profile for the OCAJP7 certification (or you can click this link).

Normally you should get a notification by e-mail once you can view your score. In this e-mail you should normally find a link to request your hard copy of your certificate. Here you'll find more information about the Process For Receiving Oracle Certification Exam Results.

Hope it helps!
Kind regards,
Roel

But if the text and code fragments were not 100% exactly the same, how can you not have to bother about the other answers? If the code snippet is different, the correct answer could be different as well. That's what I find a bit alarming.

Oracle is a quite powerful company and they would probably sued us by now (we have been in business for 15 yrs now) if they thought we were doing something unlawful
As I have mentioned multiple times on the forums and also clearly on our website, we simply do not sell real exam questions. We get requests from customers everyday asking for real exam questions and we refer to them to http://enthuware.com/index.php/ocp-brain-dumps We don't want that kind of business.

We do make every effort to include questions similar to what are asked in the exam. That is the whole point of the simulator anyway. We take feedback from our users very seriously. Many users tell us after the exam what they missed in our question bank and that is how we improve our question bank constantly.

HTH,
Paul.

Yes, Scott. It was really helpful. I strongly believe that the second part will also be helpful as the same.
