Hi,

I'm newbie in C.
I get the error "warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type" compiling.

Can you help me on ?

So each arguments (args[]) is a file (path)
i want to verify that the file exists for each.

Thank you very much for your help.

Remi.

Welcome to the Ranch

You have several errors; you have not declared file and pfile. Are they supposed to be ifile?
The return statement at the end should read
return pFile == NULL ? 1 : 0;
You are trying to assign the contents of a **char which is a *char or a null‑terminated String to a FILE pointer. That will never work. I suggest you look for a tutorial about opening files from their names.

Please format your code properly; spaces around binary operators please. Use i for the loop index. Please post your include directives too. I think you only need
#include <stdio.h>

And don't put return statements inside a loop.
