Hello John Paul, welcome to the Ranch.

I'm not taking the course, but: can you explain what exactly would like to know? If you do then we can explain and give you a useful answer.

It's this course in coursera using blueJ. I have this Quiz but I can't figure out the problem with my code. There are ten sets of questions. Divided into two. Here's the first set

1. Using the algorithm in the assignment for last lesson Storing All Genes, how many genes are in the GRch38dnapart.fa file?
2. Using the algorithm in the assignment for the last lesson Storing All Genes, how many genes in the file GRch38dnapart.fa are longer than 60 nucleotides?
3. Using the algorithm in the assignment for the last lesson Storing All Genes, how many genes in the file GRch38dnapart.fa have a C-G-ratio greater than 0.35?
4. In the file GRch38dnapart.fa, how many times does the codon CTG appear in the strand of DNA?
5. Using the algorithm in the assignment for this lesson Processing DNA Strings, what is the length of the longest gene in the collection of genes found in the file GRch38dnapart.fa?

Here's my code:

A few quick things about posting code:

* Always use code tags. I've added them for you this once.
* Don't double space.
* Indent and format your code correctly. Look at our Style Guide for pointers.

I'm assuming you've been given the file "GRch38dnapart.fa". Does your program have a method or methods to read the file and count the genes?

Yes. It is on this link. http://www.dukelearntoprogram.com/course2/files.php and we are using Bluej for debugging it. Still can't solve it.

How do you launch it? What errors does it get? What does or doesn't happen?

@Bandita Panigrahy You should start your own thread instead of hi-jacking someone else's thread.
