I want to pass the Spring Professional Certification.
I have 2 questions:

1. Do I really have to take the Core Spring class? (http://pivotal.io/academy says: "The Spring Professional Certification is designed for developers who have taken the Core Spring class..").
2. Is there any books or mock test for preparation?

Thanks.

Yeah - you have to take the course.
I did and it was well worth doing, the class is taught by one of the actual spring developers, so they really know the subject matter. Personally I think that the certification would be of less value, if it was just based around an exam. There really is a lot of material covered on this course. Your paying for the tuition, the exam voucher is just an extra...

As Peter said, you have to take the class. In the class, they give you a training binder which you can use to study. Also check out my blog post on the cert.
