I have a page with a couple of selectOneMenu items on it.
The first allows the user to select a country and when that's done, the second one gets populated with a list of cities from the chosen country.
It works fine.

However, I want the cities list to NOT populate on initial page load, and only populate, as at present, in response to a country being chosen.

Could anyone tell me if there is some way of doing that?

and finally in xhtml

And remember: Because valueChange is the standart event for a EditableValueHolder (HtmlSelectOneMenu implements it via UInput) there is no need for die tag event. Furthermore, if you want to use it, it should be event="valueChange".
