Hi!

I’ve created a simple Maven web application in Eclipse (JDK 1.8.0_74). When I try to run this application on server (Tomcat 8.0.32), I get HTTP Status 404 – the requested source is not available. I think Tomcat doesn’t see my index.jsp.

After that I close Eclipse, and run Tomcat through Terminal (I use Mac OS):

After that my web application runs correctly.

If I open my project in Eclipse, Tomcat will see this application, but if I make update of code in index.jsp, I again will get the abovementioned error.

Help me, please!

I just simply reinstalled Tomcat. Now everything works fine!

Thanks!

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
