Hello all,

I'm new to programming and am learning JEE6. I'm currently busy with multiple books in order to try and grasp the coherence of it all. Can someone please provide me with a simple but rather complete demo application, please? I haven't been able to find a good one on the web yet. Preferably a multi-module application with Entities, EJBs and JSF pages. A simple app, please

Thanks a lot in advance!

Ooof. That's a heavy way to start learning the language. And out-of-date too. (It's been "out of print" - ie, not supported - for more than 3 years)

My advice: Learn Java SE 8 (or EE 8) instead.

Preferably a multi-module application with Entities, EJBs and JSF pages. A simple app,

Phew! Your idea of "simple" must be very different from mine. It took me a good year to get the basics (SE stuff) down...and Java was my 6th major language.

The Java EJB model is not for the faint of heart. It is a heavy-duity solution for large companies /applications that (from what I understand) is being rapidly supplanted by lighter-weight ones that offer faster development times, while still retaining a lot of the "separation" that EJBs provide.

Sorry if I sound a bit negative, but I'd definitely learn Java the language first.
There'll be plenty of time to dive into the alphabet soup of available frameworks once you have.
