How BufferedReader Works internally?

Hello Everyone , I have question that I am not getting a clear concept , Pleas help me to get the thing .

I know that BuffrredReader can speed up I/O quite a bit . But I want to clear about the thing , How it works internally with the input, so that it Improves the speed of I/O, means what is the mechanism of it ?

Have you gone through the code? There is a file called src.zip in your standard Java® installation folder which will contain its code. I don't think the methods are native because the documentation doesn't say native, but one cannot be certain. You may find something useful in the Java™ Tutorials, too.
