I want to share my experience with you so it could be helpful to others!

Well my preparation started with a course that I went where a teacher explained very briefly (but pretty clear, in my opinion) all the topics that could appear on the exam and some tips on how to handle some kinds of questions and situations.

After that I really didn't feel totally confident about my skills to pass the test, so I came here and looked for help (without posting, just reading) and then I found the Enthuware Mock Test (One of the best tools you can pick to improve your knowledge and train yourself before the exam).

I went heads on to the mock test and scored badly on the first one (45%), somehow I felt like I wasted that test so I lost my fears and wrote a little post , this was one of the best decisions I made, because the answers helped me a lot.

I borrowed the sybex book (What a book!, clear, clean, funny, challenging and encouraging!!) I had to read it very fast (In a full week or so), and I felt like I was missing some little things in some themes (because I read it so fast I couldn't study every theme properly, the book is clear as water and involves every important aspect of every theme, as I said, best book you could get ). Anyways I said "Ok, we studied more, we feel better, lets try again" and presented other of the enthuware test. Due to some deals at my office I had to present the certification before the 21st of April, so I picked today 20 to present It. I didn't have much time so I just present Test 2, Test 3, Test 5 and Before Examn with the following grades; 56%, 69%, 57% and 69%. After every test I checked in what I failed and went back to the Sybex Book, read through it and read the explanation on Enthuware so I could get the concept right and try again. I didn't feel that good or prepared but I had to present, for the deals at my office and because I really wanted to do it. And I did It. And I passed, and it feels awesome!

I know 74% is no the beeeest score, but with the rush I had studying and the pressure of the due date I feel I managed well, and the most important fact is that after studying and presenting I feel more competent and skilled using Java.

Thanks Code Ranch, thanks Sybex, thanks Enthuware!!!

Awesome! That kind of feedback really means a lot Jonathan! And congratulations on your score!

If you have time, feel free to write a review on Amazon.com, it may help other people deciding which book to purchase!
