Hi.

I passed the OCP exam two days ago. The result is 88%.
Three month ago I passed the OCA exam with 88% too. My OCA result.

The resources I used:
1. "OCP: Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 8 Programmer II Study Guide" by Jeanne Boyarsky and Scott Selikoff;
2. Enthuware (www.enthuware.com);
3. Coderanch (www.coderanch.com).

Thanks to the authors of the resources.

Good luck, everyone!

Congratulations! How many hours would you estimate that you put into this test alone, and how much more time than the OCA did the studies take? Also, do you experience that studying for the OCP was easier work once completing the OCA. I have worked quite hard on my OCA studies and find them quite challenging, so I am quite indecisive as to whether or not I will do the OJP too, so any input on that would be appreciated!

Best,
Karl

Ruslan: Congratulations!

Karl: The OCP is a lot harder than the OCA. You can do it! You'll need more time to prepare than for the OCA though.

Thanks!

Karl, it took me about a month. Every day, before my work I studied for one or two hours.
Studying for the OCP was a lot harder than the OCA for me.

Congratulations Ruslan! Both excellent scores!

Yeah, the OCP is harder, in part because its such a broader set of material to learn. Really glad to hear our book helped!
