can't access /dev/sda3 from non-root user  RSS feed

i am learning hadoop,
created new user - hdpusr
unable to access MyMedia (/dev/sda3). i've kept this drive for all the hadoop related installations,etc

Have you tried
cd /dev
ls -l -a
…then you can find out the owner of each directory/file.

What does it mean that the line with sda3 on starts with b? If it is a directory it will start with d.

problem is now solved.
i added this line in fstab and now i am able to access the partition
