Hi All,

I am really new to hibernate and am stuck at an exception while trying to add records to the database table. I have verified the password and it is a correct one as I am able to login to the database without any errors. I feel that this might not be an access issue as another hibernate program I am running on the same database runs without any issues. Really need you help here. code to follow. Thanks in advance.

hibernate.cfg.xml:

AddRecord.java:

You didn't specify a user name (the error message tells you that: there's no user name in it and it's complaining about the user).

You may think you specified a user name, but you didn't. Look more closely at where you think you specified it.

Got it! its a silly typo.

<property name="hibernte.connection.username">root</property>

spelled hibernate correctly and that resolved the issue.

Thanks for point me in the right direction guys.
