I am an experienced developer but *sorta* new to Java EE / Web Sphere 8.5

What is a good / concise book that would help someone get up-to-speed and understand these technologies. I am also open to other forms of learning such as video tutorials.

Thanks.

Welcome to the JavaRanch, Loenardo!

There are plenty of good books on JEE, but one of your best resources on IBM products is IBM's own RedBook series. They're freely available from IBM. Take a google for them.

Also, of course, there's the online documentation (reference manuals and user's guides) on the IBM Boulder publications website, but while they're more authoritative, the Redbooks are more readable.
