There are plenty of good books on
JEE, but one of your best resources on IBM products is IBM's own RedBook series. They're freely available from IBM. Take a google for them.
Also, of course, there's the online documentation (reference manuals and user's guides) on the IBM Boulder publications website, but while they're more authoritative, the Redbooks are more readable.
The secret of how to be miserable is to constantly expect things are going to happen the way that they are "supposed" to happen.
You can have faith, which carries the understanding that you may be disappointed. Then there's being a willfully-blind idiot, which virtually guarantees it.
