Hello Everyone,

I need to validate the security header of an incoming SOAP response.

Do you know of any java classes to use for this?

The main part I want to validate is the signature.

(I use javax.xml.crypto.dsig.XMLSignature to create the signature of the SOAP request message.)

Thank you very much for your time and help.

Ravi

Any particular reason you want to do this programmatically? Normally you'd configure this to be done automatically by the SOAP engine.

I a writing a standalone java application to test the connection with a client that has a web service.

Is the SOAP engine you're talking about in an application server or in Spring?

Thanks.

I am just calling methods on the web service. I am just the client.

Thank you.

All major JAX - WS implementations (like Axis2 and SpringWS) support declarative WS-Security. It doesn't matter whether the client runs within an app server, or as a standalone app.
