I'm working with a GUI in Netbeans FXML Scene Builder. So what I need is this:

#1 circle that can change different colors depending of the status + tooltip

So in this case I tried to add a circle, but I cant add a tooltip to it. Not sure why, probably because its not a button.

#2
So I looked at plan B: To create a radio button that is not clickable, just showing different colors. Not sure if this is possible?

My questions, how can I solve this: Is it possible to add a tooltip to a circle or is option 2 possible?

Thanks

Hi

I do not know why SceneBuilder would disable the ability to add ToolTip to a circle but I have been using tooltip's on the Java side of things.

https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/javafx/api/javafx/scene/control/Tooltip.html

Thus you can add tooltip's to any node, I have been using it for all shapes.

but if you would want to add it in SceneBuilder, you probably would have to use something that accepts a tooltip like you said, and style it accordingly.

For example.

and add this style to SceneBuilder and set the buttons class accordingly.
