Intro
We are supporting the Wise Group to identify a new Head of IT.
This role will be based from their Glasgow offices and will involve some travel.
They are looking for an inspirational individual, someone who will lead from the front and can support the organisation with setting and delivering the IT strategy. Effectively, the Head of IT will play a proactive part in the strategic planning, development and support of all IT Solutions and services within the business.
Job description
Leading, motivating and inspiring the IT department to deliver an IT strategy that delivers innovation and enables the wider business to be more effective
Ensuring that the departmental staffing structures, policies, procedures and systems are aligned to, and managed in line with, the Business Strategy
Establishing strong partnerships with key client contacts to devise on-going technical strategy, deliver highly effective and innovative technology solutions
Setting and managing the IT budget and ensuring that the overall IT spend remains within pre-agreed budgets
Evaluate how the business currently presents its offering to the outside world through effective Communications, Marketing and Website design.
Who we're looking for
A track record of excelling in the design and delivery of a clear IT strategy
A collaborative working style with an aptitude for clear communication
The ability to take technical applications and infrastructure scenarios and translate them succinctly between IT, Operations and Leadership Teams
Strong Project Management skills
Excellent leadership skills, the ability to motivate staff through a period of technological and business change
Experience of delivering excellence within a high demanding 'day-to-day' operational environment
Strong presentation skills and ability to present accurate, timely and informative MI to the board
Practical experience Cloud, database administration and desktop application deployments
Technology Security.
