building an apk on android studio

i want to create an actual apk not the app-debug.apk on androids tudio, how do that?

Normally via Build->Build APK or Build->Generate Signed APK...
Make sure the release type is set correctly.

Build->Select Build Variant

Check all the to options in the menu. They can add, edit, and set what builds are available to you.
