Hi,

My requirement is to write the data into .xlsm file which is in server and download it to the local system by using struts 1.1

I am able to write the data into excel file successfully. I have used Apache POI jars for this.

While downloading the file only facing the issue like "Excel can not open the file filename.xlsm because the file format or extension is not valid"

Below is my code in action class

Please help me to find out anything is wrong in the above code.

Thanks,
Pavani

From Apache POI documentation:
Macros can not be created. The are currently no plans to support macros. However, reading and re-writing files containing macros will safely preserve the macros.

Don't know if that's your problem or not, you haven't given us much to go on.
