OCMJEA 5 track was retired on Mar 1, 2016. I passed Part 1 in Nov 2015 and then Part 2/3 in May 2016. Also completed mandatory training in Apr 2015.
So when I submitted course completion form, Oracle is saying the OCMJEA5 track is retired and they cannot issue certification kit.
They are asking me to appear for OCMJEA6 part1 exam to get my certification kit, which is just crazy for me. Someone has faced similar issue, please advise.
I tried creating support ticket of CertView as below:

Dear Sachin,

Thank you for contacting to Oracle Certification Program Team.

We see that you have fulfilled all requirement except exam 1Z0-841, hence you have not earned Oracle Certified Master, Java EE 5 Enterprise Architect. Your Hands-On course and Master Essay has been approved after the date of retirement of Java 5 certification tracks.

We understand your situation, however since Oracle Certified Master, Java EE 5 Enterprise Architect Certification track has been retired on March 1, 2016 hence you are not able to give exam towards this track.

Kindly note that your taken exams and Hands-On course can be counted towards Oracle Certified Master, Java EE 6 Enterprise Architect, you only have to pass single exam 1Z0-807 to earn Oracle Certified Master, Java EE 6 Enterprise Architect Certification.

We request you to visit our web site for details of Oracle Certified Master, Java EE 6 Enterprise Architect Certification at https://education.oracle.com/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=653&get_params=p_id:212&p_org_id=1080544&lang=US#tabs-1

For further queries we request you to please raise a new Support request at http://education.oracle.com/eval-eddap-dcd/OU_SUPPORT_OCP.home?p_source=OCP .

We will be happy to assist you.

Sincerely,
OCP Team

Application: OCP SUPPORT
Incident Country: United States
Contact Language: US
Issue Type: Certificate Hardcopy Status
Problem Description: Please note that I had passed 1Z0-864 on 09-NOV-2015 which was before retirement of OCMJEA 5 certification track. And recently I passed exams 1Z0-865 and 1Z0-866 which are still valid. I also did mandatory training Java EE 7 New Features.

So this way I complete all the requirement of OCMJEA5 certification. I request you to issue me certification kit as I fulfilled all requirements for that track.

So you passed part 1 in Nov 2015 and done the training in Apr 2015.

When did you start part 2/3 and when you submit the training form?

I don't know about you or Oracle, taking training aside, the cert's achievement date (for me anyway) is dated the "start" part 2/3 date, not the essay date or notification date.

FYI I submitted training way before I started part 1.

So if that is true, the training submission date seems to be deciding factor.

If every thing go south, do you want to get "cert" (v6 since v5 expired)?

I doubt anyone here can help your problem.
Maybe you consider to take Part 1 of SCJEA 6 and become Java EE 6 Master Architect?

Thanks Mikalai, that would be my last option. But I'm hopeful that I should be given certification kit for version 5.

K.Tsang can you please share your thoughts looking at my timelines so far?

I don't know man, Oracle has the final say. I still don't know whether if they count both training submission date and part 2/3 completion date to be before the Mar 1 deadline or just one of these.

Doing the v6 exam is your safest bet.

Hi Sachin,
I did not have the same situation. But based on my past interactions with Oracle University, I feel it will not be easy to change Oracle's stance. Even though it is disappointing, I would suggest that you start preparing for 1Z0-807. It should be considerably less painful to complete, as you have completed the corresponding exam for JavaEE 5. Give it a thought.

Thanks everyone for your inputs.
Just got reply from Oracle that they have considered my case as an exception and will issue eCertificate for OCMJEA5 track in 2-3 weeks but will not issue success kit.
This is big relief for me. Thanks again and good luck to all aspirants.
