Hi ,
Does the book cover libraries that handle creating JSON on the server side (Java) and  parsing it it in the browser ?

thanks,
Paul

The browser is easy -- most frameworks will do it automatically, and the JSON object, which includes JSON.parse(), exists for doing it yourself.

In Java, some popular choices are Gson and Jackson. There are numerous others.

There's a list of libraries for various languages at the bottom of the official JSON page.

The description of the book does not specifically mention if discussion of back-end libraries is included. I'll leave it for our visiting author to comment if discussion not included in the description is present.

Thanks Bear.
From the description ,it appears to be more focused on developers who  consume services and work with JSON on the front end.

That is correct, this book focuses on the JSON Syntax Definition specifically, and how it is parsed using JavaScript and Java. Server-Side languages such as PHP and JSF are not discussed in relation to JSON.
