The book and Sybex online list the answer to Question 18 (Review 2) as option 'A', but the associated description shows the answer as option 'B'.

Answer A lists the answer as 1
Answer B lists the answer as 2

The correct answer does appear to be option B.

Book page for mock test is 99.  Explanation to mock test question is on pages 338-339.

I just realized this was mentioned about a year ago, but it is not listed on the Errata at: https://www.selikoff.net/java-oca-8-programmer-i-study-guide/

Sorry for the duplication.  I found it on the Errata.  Please disregard.

Chuck,
No worries. Better to have something notice more than once than not at all!

Hi Chuck Todd,

First of all, a warm welcome to CodeRanch!

Chuck Todd wrote:The book and Sybex online list the answer to Question 18 (Review 2) as option 'A', but the associated description shows the answer as option 'B'.

As you already have noticed yourself, this errata item was reported a year ago and is already on the official errata overview of this study guide.

No need to apologize! It's much better to post your doubts if you are confused by something than learn something wrong or make incorrect assumptions. And as the moose tells you, CodeRanch is a friendly place for programming greenhorns, so we are glad to help you

Kind regards,
Roel

PS. Next time you create a new topic to ask a question or share your doubts, it is much more useful to post the actual code snippet (or paragraph or ...) instead of a book sample.
