Hi Moderator

I would like to request for deleting post (http://www.coderanch.com/t/656927/JBoss/change-localhost-JBOSS-EAP) cause of our company's privacy. It has some sensitive information in it (configs). I need to delete this post ASAP. Please help me.

In general, once a post gets involved in a conversation, meaning that someone has responded to it, it is unlikely to be deleted. However, we do understand the reasons for the concern, hence, will modify the post in order to protect poster, while still maintaining the conversation.

Please send me the details of the sensitive information that you would like replaced (with generic and fake) information... in a purple moosage, of course...

Henry

It is also worth noting that this information has been out there on the internet for 9 months and will have been replicated many times over by search engines, web crawlers, and other such things. My point being that you will never be able to achieve the complete removal of the 'sensitive' information. Once it's out there, it's out there forever.

As Henry mentioned, as a general rule we don't delete forum content, ever. Unless it's not nice. But we can do our bit at least so do take up Henry on his generous offer and PM him details of the desired edits.

Wow. That was a complex change request... and to be fair, I am kinda lazy...

So, I did review the changes. Caught the jist of what I think you want (hopefully). And made similar changes.  Hopefully, it is okay. If not, please send me another purple moosage.
