I appeared for SCJP 5.0 in Mar 2008. Which certification is suitable for me?

I appeared for SCJP 5.0 in Mar 2008. Now In 2016, I want to appear for certification in Java 1.8. So which Certification I need to go for?

Java SE 8 Programmer I 1Z0-808
Java SE 8 Programmer II 1Z0-809 (for this  1Z0-808 is mandatory)
Or this Upgrade to Java SE 8 OCP ( Java SE 6 and all prior versions) 1Z0-813

Also, let me know which certification book I have to follow.

You should take the 1Z0-813 certification exam, the upgrade to OCPJP8 exam (for Java SE 6 and all prior versions).

On the OcpjpWallOfFame you'll find some stories about the experiences of other ranchers who have passed the OCPJP certification exam. And you'll probably find a lot of useful information in the OcpjpFaq as well. And if you have some doubts or questions, don't be shy and share them in the OCPJP forum.

For the 813 exam, make sure the OCP 8 book you choose covers the Java 6 and earlier upgrade exam. Scott and I had to write an appendix for our book (shortly before it printed) to add some objectives that are on the Java 6 and earlier upgrade exam, but not on the upgrade exam for those holding a Java 7 cert.

In the OcpjpFaq (besides other very useful information) you'll find an overview of all available (free and commercial) resources (study guides, mock exams, video courses,...) to thorougly prepare yourself for the certification exam. And on the OcpjpWallOfFame you'll find plenty of (links to) experiences from other ranchers (including resources they have used). So it can be useful to determine which resources are useful (and which are not).

Enthuware has mock exams that are specific to 1Z0-813. There are no books dedicated to the exam. Our OCP 8 book (for 1Z0-809) covers all the material though including the appendix for the material on 813 but not 809.
