Hi guys, I've posted something in the last hour and I was trying to find a way to edit it as the formatting was wrong. I had a look around but as absurd as it is I don't seem to be able to find any way to edit my own post. I looked at the faq too and there is something about that, it says to find the edit icon, but the actual image for that icon is broken so I don't get to see what the icon looks like. I really struggle to understand why there can't be a normal button like any other forum that clearly says edit.

The editing ability is ... well ... currently being worked on. In the meantime, I would have to agree that it may be a bit too restrictive at the moment. Anyway, let me look at your recent posts to see if I can enable the editing for it.

Ah OK. It's that I posted something, then realized that it needed amendments but I couldn't do it

BTW, you should be able to edit you most recent topic. The one before this one, that is. The one where you used the wrong tags. Please let me know otherwise. If you can't, I guess I can fix it for you.

thanks, I managed to make the changes because I received a PM from the staff asking me to make the changes and the edit button has appeared.

Sorry is there any indication when that functionality will be ready for every other post, like, I posted something that I wanted to edit after and I had to post another reply. Is there a rough timescale for this, like weeks, months, years? Perhaps, just an idea, might be worth adding a message to the forum when you create a post, something telling you that specific functionality isn't available?

No. What is more, as mentioned in this thread, it may change without notice in future.

If you had edited this post to change the for‑each loop to an old‑fashoined for loop, it would have made me look stupid saying you had a for‑each loop in the reply. We used to get lots of people editing posts to incorporate the reply in their original post which made the thread read like nonsense and made it worthless for future generations who might find it by searching.
