Hi all,

I recently completed a course in Web Applications Development at college and I'd like to set up a website that I can use to host any sample code or programmes that I write.  Specifically I'd like to create a couple of web services using Java Servlets.  I've been able to get my Servlets working on my local machine with a local install of Tomcat but how do I do this on a website?  I bought a domain some time ago from a web hosting company but just have the domain.  I don't know how to go about creating a database on the hosting server or installing Tomcat on a remote machine.

hello,

what are your server configuration? If it is linux , you can remotely login using ssh and install required softwares like tomcat , mysql and apache webserver . You can also move your code to your server using scp command to your server.
